All about Auto-Launch in Shift

This article will walk you through Auto-Launch; what it is and how to turn it on or off

 

What is Auto-Launch?

As the name suggests, Auto-Launch is a feature (turned ON by default) that will automatically launch Shift when you start up your computer. 

 

How do I turn Auto-Launch off?

You can turn this off in-app, or via your computer's OS settings.

 

To turn off this feature in-app, do the following:

  1. Go to Quick Settings (top-right corner of Shift)
  2. Scroll down to Advanced Settings
  3. System
  4. Toggle "Auto-Launch" off

 

From settings (Mac)

To manage the Auto-lunch functionality from your Mac settings, please go to System Preferences > General > Login items > Remove Shift from the list.

 

 

From settings (Windows)

To manage the Auto-lunch functionality from your Windows settings, please go to Settings > Apps > Startup > Toggle off for Shift
