How do I change the default Google/Microsoft Service that appears in my email account?

Wondering how to change the Google/Microsoft Service that appears as the default option in the top right corner of your email account in Shift v8? This feature is not yet available in Shift v8 but will be soon. Continue reading for more details, including when we expect the feature will be available and a workaround until it does.

 

Summary 📃

Currently, when you select a Google Service from the drop-down menu (see screenshot below), that Google/Microsoft Service will remain as the unchangeable default. This is on our Development team's radar. Soon, you'll be able to toggle between service options after one has been selected. 

 

 

Workarounds 💡

  1. Delete the email and add it back to change the default service
  2. Click on the 3 x 3 square in your inbox (right-hand side in Gmail, left-hand side in Outlook/Office 365) to access other services (they will open in a new web tab in your email)
