What?

If you're reading this article, you're likely wondering how you can set it so that Shift will automatically detect if a clicked link is related to an app that you have added to Shift, and open it in that app rather than in a web-tab

How?

You can select how you'd like links clicked in Shift to open via the "Open links in Shift" setting.

Currently, if "Open links in Shift" is turned ON, the link will open in a new tab regardless of if you have a related app added to Shift (e.g. clicking a Google Meet link will open in a new tab, rather than the Google Meet app if you have it added to Shift). Our Development Team is building out smart link-handling which will allow Shift to detect if a clicked link is related to an app that you have added to Shift, and open it in that app instead of a new tab.

When?

Smart link handling will be possible in a future update.
