What to do if you forgot or were unable to export your passwords from v7

Did you forget or were unable to export your v7 passwords? Wondering how to get your v7 passwords into v8? Keep reading for steps on how to get them back! 

 

  1. Head here to download the legacy version of v7
  2. Launch v7 and export your passwords
  3. Uninstall v7 Legacy from your computer (Mac instructions, here. Windows instructions, here)
  4. Import your passwords into v8 via the CSV file you exported from v7. Follow the import instructions here.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to delete the CSV file you saved previously as it is unencrypted and viewable to anyone with access to your computer.
