You may prefer links to open outside of Shift (i.e. in your default browser). Opening links outside of Shift is possible! Here's how:

  1. Go to Options (lower left corner) > Settings > General > Functionality
  2. Scroll to find "Open links in Shift" and disable it

IMPORTANT: In some cases, Shift will open a link in a separate Shift window regardless of your Open links in Shift preference. However, there's an easy workaround for this, just right-click on the link and select the option "Open link in Default Browser". Read more about this issue here.
