How to uninstall Shift from your computer (v7 Legacy, Linux)

If you're uninstalling Shift because you encountered an issue, please reach out! Our support team would love to help troubleshoot any issues or answer any questions you might have. Just click "Get Help" at the top of the page, and use the Shift Chatbot to create a ticket.

 

Follow our quick steps below for how to uninstall Shift from your Linux:

  1. Ensure Shift is fully closed down and not running
  2. Open file manager

  3. Navigate to the directory containing the extracted shift-linux-XXX folder (where XXX is the release number)

  4. Right-click the extracted shift-linux-XXX folder and select Delete

  5. Delete your application data by navigating and deleting the file located at /home/<your name>/.config/Shift
