Curious about your data, Shift's servers, or access permissions? Find all of our frequently asked privacy policy questions answered here!

By using Shift, you agree to Shift's Privacy Policy. Shift does not sell your data, nor can it access any of your private data in your emails, calendars, drives, or any apps you add to your setup. While Shift does track how you use the Shift application, it does not track what's rendered within any of what you've added to your Shift setup! Read on for answers to some frequently asked questions. ðŸ§

Will my email, contact, calendar, or drive information to be shared with Shift's servers, employees, or data partners?

No. Never. Read more about each permission in the sign-in process here.

Why does Shift ask for access?

Simply: for API access. When you allow access to these permissions or "scopes", this provides the Shift desktop application on your computer access to Google's APIs to access your account on your behalf. In other words, this simply allows your email, calendar, and Drive services to work in the Shift desktop application. This access and the information within each service are strictly local to the Shift desktop application on your computer. None of the information contained in any of these services, including what is rendered within each service is ever sent to or stored on Shift's servers, accessible to Shift employees, or sold or shared with Shift's data partners.

Does Shift sell data to third parties?

No. We do not sell, trade, or rent any personal or anonymous data to third parties. The only data that is shared is with the licensed third-party applications it has relationships with. Check out the full list of third-party relationships here.
