Issues with screen sharing and background blur in Google Meet

Issue Summary 📄

When attempting to screen share using Google Meet in Shift, an error is often shown "Sorry, an error has occurred when screen sharing" or a message appears that says "Your browser can't share your screen." Background effects and background blurring also does not work in Google Meet in Shift.

Status: Technical Limitation ⏳

Google has implemented its screen sharing differently than other services like Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc. As a result, this is a technical limitation in Shift and a timeline of when this capability might be integrated is unknown.

Temporary Workaround 💡

Use Google Meet through the web app outside of Shift to screen share or use background blur.
