How Do I Import Passwords from Multiple Browsers to Shift? print icon

In the event that you have passwords stored on multiple browsers, you can easily import and access all available passwords to your Shift Password Manager. 

Shift Password Manager currently supports password imports from the following browsers: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge Legacy, and Edge Chromium. We do not support importing passwords from Safari and Firefox at this time.

To import from multiple browsers, please follow the steps below:

Method 1: 

  1. Open your Options tray (three dots in the bottom left corner)

  2. Click on Settings (wrench icon)

  3. Navigate to Passwords > Options > Import from Browser
  4. Choose which browser you want to import from and click the checkboxes for Passwords and/or History
  5. Select Import
  6. Repeat steps 1-5, but select a different browser to import from.

Your passwords from multiple browsers will now be accessible in your Shift Password Manager!

Method 2: 

  1. Open your app menu
    If your app menu is not displayed please press Ctrl + \.

  2. Click on History 
  3. Select Import from the drop-down menu
  4. Choose which browser you want to import from and click the checkboxes for Passwords and/or History
  5. Select Import
  6. Repeat steps 1-5, but select a different browser to import from.

 

Your passwords from multiple browsers will now be accessible in your Shift Password Manager!
