Happy March! We released Shift 2.7 today with many exciting new updates and bug fixes.

 

Bug Fixes

 

Resolved: Shift freezes when syncing multiple contacts at once.

• Shift will no longer lock-up when syncing a large number of contacts.

 

Resolved: Skype fails to show message notifications in Shift.

• Users can now see notifications when they receive a message in Skype.

 

Resolved: On Macs, the Shift App Menu does not display properly when enabled.

• Mac users can now enable their App Menu in Shift without it breaking.

 

Resolved: A space appears between the compact sidebar and the Search box in Shift.

 

Resolved: An error will show in Shift if an image with a space in its name is uploaded.

• Any spaces in image names are converted to dashes (-) automatically so they may be uploaded.

 

Resolved: Google Drive Docs cannot open in Shift.

• When opening a Google Doc in Shift, users received a “Working” or “Action failed to start” message. These messages no longer appear and Google Docs may be opened within Shift.

 

Resolved: There is no label help text on the top bar for some icons.

• Users can now more easily navigate within Shift with help text explaining what each icon represents.

 

Resolved: Shift loads slowly upon startup because it is syncing contacts automatically.

• Shift will now postpone the syncing of contacts upon startup so it can load more quickly.

 

Resolved: The Email Share page does not close when clicking outside of it.

• Clicking outside the Email Share page will now cause it to exit.

 

Feature Updates

• Shift users can now drag and drop their accounts to reorder them so they can more easily optimize their workflows in Shift.
