Upon the release of our new version of Shift we have received reports of incorrect unread email counts in Shift. We are aware of this issue and our team is currently working to resolve it.
Luckily there is a manual fix. Please head over into Settings, under General scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Reset app data." This will wipe all information and application data from your Shift account. Please proceed by resigning into Shift and re-authenticating your accounts.
